How to sell safely
Each day thousands of ads are published on List.am, the most convenient and easy to use platform for selling and buying online in Armenia as well as finding jobs and offering services. In order to stay safe, you need to follow some basic rules.
Item information
Use a very detailed description of your product; describe all the potential faults and issues with your products to a potential buyer. This will protect you against any claims from them after the sale.
Payments and shipping
The easiest way is to pay with cash. If what you are buying is too expensive (for example, a car), you can ask for a payment by bank transfer and offer a document confirming the transaction. In this case, you should be present at the bank with the buyer and make sure that the transaction is completed properly.
Agree to a prepayment only if you are fully confident and trust the buyer. Make sure to ask for a receipt or some other proof of payment.
Do not sell and do not send your goods abroad. In case of fraud from the buyer it is impossible to prove anything or get your money or item back.
Personal information
Never ever disclose your passwords, logins, credit cards information, online wallets and, moreover, do not send copies of your documents to anyone - this information can be used by criminals against you.
